Panning: 24 in ’24 Very Late Start

I’m a big fan of makeup panning as a practice. It’s refreshing to focus on using up makeup instead of just blindly acquiring more (even though I’m definitely guilty of that, too). This is an odd time to start a year-themed project but I’m finding myself tempted to buy more these days and panning brings me back to finding the joy in using makeup rather than buying it.

The idea of the “24 in ’24” challenge is to use up 24 products in 2024. Obviously this would be easier if I’d started in January, but better late than never, no?

Here are the 24 products I hope to finish or hit pan on by the end of the year:

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz sample in Medium Brown goal: finish. I almost never use brow stuff but maybe I just need to branch out.
bellapierre Cosmetics Pressed Banana Powder in Light goal: finish
ColourPop Wanna Bee palette, shade Pollen 4 U goal: hit pan. I love this palette, it might be the first one I’ve ever bought for myself.
e.l.f. Luminous Putty Primer mini goal: finish. Hopefully an easy one!
Glossier balm dotcom mini in Rose goal: finish
innisfree Matte Mineral setting powder goal: finish
Love+Craft+Beauty lip gloss in Blitz goal: finish
MAC Matte Lipstick mini in Velvet Teddy goal: finish
Maybelline Fit Me powder foundation in 120 Classic Ivory goal: finish. Foundations are easy!
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser foundation in 130 goal: finish. Would almost certainly finish this up by the end of the year anyway.
Nars Afterglow Lip Balm mini in Laguna goal: finish
Natasha Denona Lip-Oh-Phoria in Mauve goal: finish
Nemat Amber EdP travel size goal: finish. Love the scent but the oil version is so much better.
Nudestix Nudies in Bondi Bae goal: finish
Nudestix Nudies in Bohemian Rose goal: finish
Pat McGrath Labs Lust lip gloss mini in Aphrodisiac goal: finish. Packaging is very form > function so this is a hate pan despite liking the product itself.
Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pencil in BlackCaviar goal: finish
theBalm Alternative Rock blush/shadow mini in Bare Minium goal: hit pan
Tower28 Makewaves Mascara mini goal: finish before it dries up. Literally never done this even with a mini mascara, so this is probably the most ambitious of all my picks.
Tower28 ShineOn Lip Jelly in Pistachio goal: finish
Tower28 ShineOn Lip Jelly in Coconut goal: finish
Tower28 ShineOn Lip Jelly mini in Chill goal: finish. My tip: Don’t try to mix your own “jelly style” lip gloss if you don’t know what you’re doing, I turned this formerly lovely clear gloss into a weird yellowy orange.
Urban Decay Naked 3 Mini palette, shade Public goal: finish. Honestly I just want it to stop crumbling everywhere because I dropped this while I was travelling and it’s been impossible to keep the mess contained ever since.
