One thing I love about scent is how strong the connection between smell and memory is. I like to think in years to come some of the scents I use the most during a specific season will bring me back to that time. Here are my most reached-for scents of summer 2024 (so far!).

Snif – Rose Era 🌹

Rose Era is my easiest reach right now for a bright, fruity-floral scent. Rose and strawberry is a combination that just makes me feel girly and lighthearted. I’m also a big fan of the packaging.

Kayali – Eden Sparkling Lychee ✨

Another sparkly fruity floral scent, this one is sharper and more tart than Rose Era. It’s more invigorating, too, so I like to wear this on days when I want to feel energetic and awake.

Maison Margiela – Replica: Beach Walk 🏖

I know, I know, everyone loves Beach Walk. But so do I. It’s really evocative of a day on the beach after the seawater has dried from your skin and your sunscreen is wearing off but you’re too tired and lazy to apply more, or really to do anything but lie on your towel and feel the warmth of the day. (Full disclosure: I haven’t been to the beach at all yet this year, so the smell is kind of aspirational.)

Lovesick Witchery – Pink Lipstick 💄

Obsessed with this–it smells like a combination of orange creamsicles and that amazing vanilla-ey cosmetics smell (think MAC bullet lipsticks). Sweet and girly, like a 90s sleepover. Lovesick Witchery perfumes are also ridiculously affordable so I recommend trying them out if you want to explore an indie brand that does sweet scents right.
